Some of the pieces can be found on the ground, but others must be claimed by defeating the three skeletons in the room. However, these grave markers are missing their epitaphs, and it's up to the player to find all 9 epitaph pieces and arrange them correctly to solve the puzzle to face Grimora. Once players enter Grimora's domain, they'll find that she's sealed away in a room behind three grave markers. Grimora's domain is in the bottom right corner of the world and is shaped like a skeletal hand with a mausoleum on its wrist. After that point, the remaining Scrybes can be challenged in any order. Once one of them is defeated, the broken bridge in the center of the world will be fixed, allowing players to face P03 and Magnificus. Players can choose to face either her or Leshy first. Grimora is the Scrybe of the Dead, one of the first two Scrybes that players can challenge in this act, along with Leshy, Scrybe of Beasts, whose cabin returns from Act I.
